Date:  November 10 (Mon.) -11 (Tue.) , 2014@i•½¬26”N11ŒŽ10-11“új

Aims & Scopes:
Computational Materials Research Initiative (CMRI) was founded in 2011 in IMR as a project-oriented section and is one of the three operating institutions of Computational Materials Science Initiative (CMSI) which was founded through a Grant for Field 2 gNew Materials and Energy Creationh of the HPCI Scientific Program of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. CMRI has been particularly promoting large scale computations of multi-scale materials science phenomena which include mechanical and functional properties, solidification in processing along with various theoretical/computational techniques such as All-electron first-principles calculations, Quantitative and large scale Phase Field Modeling, Molecular Dynamics simulations and so on. In this Workshop, inviting four experts from abroad, we organize two-day sessions in which recent progress and future scope of computational multi-scale science will be presented and discussed.

Invited Speakers:

Valentino R. Cooper   (Oak Ridge National Laboratory, USA)
Gregory B. Olson   (Northwestern University & QuesTek Innovations LLC, USA)
Andreas Reiter   (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany)
